Book Cover Design
The illustration on The Hunger Games book series represent the big idea of each book. The first book cover shows a group of mannequins being suspended by strings representing how society is being controlled by a greater power. In Catching Fire, the illustration is of one mannequin being singled out, putting the spotlight on the main character. The scale of the figure is the sybolic representation of isolation and hopelessness. The illustration of the third book communicates the main character freeing herself from the ties of dictatorship.
